Junior Show Entry Form

ATTENTION JUNIOR SHOW EXHIBITORS :

Before submitting entries for the Exposition Junior Show, please review the following information:

  1. Complete a separate entry form for each exhibitor.
    1. All information must be completed and proper fees submitted before entry will be processed.
    2. Entries will not be refunded.
  2. Entry limits:
    1. Limit per exhibitor: 12 total pigs, 6 gilts and 6 barrows, including a max of two cross gilts and two cross barrows.
    2. 1 purebred pig for 1 crossbred pig must be exhibited, not just entered into the show.
    3. Hosted junior show purebred classes include: Berkshire, Chester, Duroc, Hampshire, Hereford, Landrace, Poland, Spot, Tamworth and Yorkshire barrows and gilts.
  3. NJSA Purebred Influenced Crossbred Division:
    1. Purebred Influenced Crossbreds should be entered as crossbred barrows on entry form and designated for the Purebred Influenced Crossbred division at the show during check-in.

  4. Animal requirements:
    1. All purebred hogs must be born Nov. 1, 2023 or after.
    2. All hogs must be owned by the exhibitor as of April 14, 2024.
    3. All weights on barrows and crossbred gilts are declared by exhibitor. Test scales will be available.
    4. Weight Limit Barrows: 215-290; 15 lb. weighback
    5. Weight Limit Cross Gilts: 375 and less; 15 lb. weighback
    6. ALL animals entered in the Exposition are subject to drug testing by the NJSA.
  5. Exhibitor Entry Fees
    1. $50 per entry for alll purebred barrow and gilt entry fees (late fees double after deadline)
  6. Additional exhibitor information:
    1. Exhibitors will be provided one pen for every two pigs EXHIBITED (not entered) at the event.
    2. Sibling’s pigs will be penned together if exhibiting an odd number of animals
    3. Exhibitors MUST bring registration papers, certificate of veterinary inspection (CVI) and a copy of their YQCA/PQA Plus card or certificate to check-in at the show.
    4. Age divisions for exhibitors will be designated using January 1, 2024.
    5. ALL Animals must be officially identified with a Federally approved, permanently numbered ear tag.
